Raised in rural Nebraska Dan Gausman was always looking for bigger and more exciting things to dream about. He found promising hope in punk music, film, and most of all painting. His painting ambitions first paid off when he was invited to contribute to an exhibition at The 2005 Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival in Indio, CA. Two years later Dan made California his permanent home while attending Chapman University, where he studied screenwriting and fine art. With his style of work he hopes to carry an impression of something that is youthful, romantic, and contemporary, a style inspired by some of his heroes like Bruce Springsteen and The Replacements, the film Stand By Me, and of course the clash of his midewestern roots with urban society. At 20 years of age he currently works and lives in Orange, California.
